For more than three decades, Dr. Mario R. Anzaldua has proudly dedicated his career to serving the healthcare needs of families throughout the Rio Grande Valley. A proud resident of Mission, Texas since 1988, Dr. Anzaldua has built his practice on a foundation of compassion, integrity, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care to the community he proudly calls home.
What began as a small medical office with a close-knit team has grown into a thriving and respected healthcare practice serving patients of all ages across the Valley. Thanks to continued growth and the trust of the community, the practice expanded into a larger, modern facility designed to better accommodate patients while enhancing comfort and quality of care.
Today, the practice is supported by a dedicated team of five experienced providers and a highly trained staff focused on delivering personalized, comprehensive medical care. From preventive medicine and chronic disease management to routine wellness visits and ongoing patient support, the team works tirelessly to ensure every patient receives attentive and compassionate treatment.
Dr. Anzaldua’s vision has always been centered around creating a welcoming environment where patients feel valued, heard, and cared for like family. His longstanding presence in Mission and unwavering dedication to the Rio Grande Valley continue to make the practice a trusted name in healthcare throughout the community.

Mario R. Anzaldua, MD
Dr. Anzaldua earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology from Stanford University before obtaining his Medical Doctor degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His educational background, combined with years of clinical experience, has helped shape a practice focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.
Throughout his medical career, Dr. Anzaldua has remained dedicated to improving access to high-quality healthcare for families across the Valley. His passion for medicine extends beyond treatment alone — he believes in building lasting relationships with patients while promoting preventive care, wellness, and long-term health management.
To better serve the community, Dr. Anzaldua maintains affiliations with several respected healthcare institutions, including Mission Regional Medical Center, Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, and South Texas Health System. These affiliations allow him to provide coordinated, comprehensive care while ensuring patients have access to trusted medical resources throughout the region.

Karina S Cantu, FNP-BC
Ms. Cantu earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and began her healthcare career serving patients as both an Emergency Room and Operating Room Registered Nurse. Her passion for patient care and commitment to advancing her medical knowledge led her to pursue and obtain her Master of Science in Nursing from the same institution.
With years of hands-on clinical experience, Ms. Cantu is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthier and more fulfilling lives through compassionate, personalized care. She believes in treating every patient with kindness, respect, and understanding while encouraging them to take an active role in improving their overall well-being. By building strong relationships with her patients, she creates a welcoming environment where individuals feel comfortable, valued, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Outside of the office, Ms. Cantu is deeply family-oriented and enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones. She also has a passion for traveling and experiencing new places and cultures. Guided by strong faith and values, she approaches both her personal life and patient care with compassion, integrity, and dedication.

Rolando Benitez, MPAS, PA-C
Rolando Benitez is a nationally certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the Texas State Medical Board of Physician Assistants. With more than three decades of experience, he specializes in family medicine and the care of work-related injuries.
Mr. Benitez earned his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch, School of Allied Health Sciences in Galveston in 1991, and later completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas-Pan American in 2011.
Throughout his career, he has developed advanced expertise in family practice, with a particular focus on diabetes management, workers' compensation care, and preventive medicine. He is also a Certified Medical Examiner for the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME), authorized to perform Department of Transportation physicals for commercial drivers.
Having practiced in the community where he was raised, Mr. Benitez takes pride in providing continuity of care across generations. Caring for the children and grandchildren of longtime patients is a testament to the trust and long-lasting relationships that define his approach to medicine.

Nilda Olmeda, FNP-BC
Ms. Olmeda earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from the University of Texas-Pan American. Prior to obtaining her master's degree, she worked as a registered nurse in a hospital telemetry setting, where she gained extensive experience caring for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. This strong clinical foundation continues to influence her comprehensive and patient-centered approach to care.
With more than 14 years of experience in family practice, Ms. Olmeda provides comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan, with a focus on prevention, wellness, and the management of acute and chronic health conditions. Guided by her Christian faith and a commitment to serving others, Ms. Olmeda strives to treat each patient with compassion, dignity, and respect. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and empowering them to make informed decisions that support their health and well-being.

Randolph Valenzuela, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC
Dr. Valenzuela is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in Adult-Gerontology care. With more than 21 years of nursing experience spanning critical care, emergency medicine, and executive nursing leadership, Dr. Valenzuela brings a comprehensive and patient focused approach to healthcare.
Dr. Valenzuela holds a dual Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Texas Christian University, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Michigan State University. His diverse educational background combines advanced clinical expertise, research acumen, and healthcare leadership, allowing him to deliver evidence-based, high-quality care while fostering innovation.

At the core of Dr. Valenzuela's practice are four guiding pillars: patient-centered care, shared decision-making, quality of care, and preventive medicine. He believes that successful healthcare outcomes are achieved through strong partnership between patients and providers, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health and wellness.

Originally from California, Dr. Valenzuela has proudly served the Mission, Texas community for more than five years. He is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the populations he serves through compassionate care. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Valenzuela is an avid fitness enthusiast who believes that a strong mind and body are inseparable. He enjoys spending time at South Padre Island, exploring the open road on his motorcycle, and pursuing his fascination with astrophysics and the mysteries of the space-time continuum.

Leticia Cobos, PA-C
Ms. Cobos is a highly experience and dedicated Physician Assistant, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed through the Texas Medical Board. She earned her Master of Physician Studies degree from The University of Texas-Pan American in 2012 and has since devoted her career to providing exceptional healthcare to patients throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
With more than 13 years of experience in Internal Medicine and 12 years of experience in Pediatrics, Ms. Cobos brings a well-rounded approach to patient care, allowing her to effectively treat individuals across multiple stages of life. Her extensive clinical background has equipped her with the knowledge and expertise to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Ms. Cobos is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain their best possible health through education, prevention, and personalized treatment plans. She places a strong emphasis on preventive care and early intervention, believing that proactive healthcare is one of the most effective ways to improve long-term outcomes and quality of life. Her compassionate approach, attention to detail, and commitment to patient wellness have earned her the trust and appreciation of the patients and families she serves.
