OUR PRACTICE
Dr. Mario R. Anzaldua has been serving medical needs to the Rio Grande Valley for over thirty years. The practice is growing every day and the demand to meet quality patient care is high. A little over six years ago Dr. Mario R. Anzaldua and his staff were about six in total and now after moving into a new location with more space, Dr. Mario R. Anzaldua has about twenty employees with two providers and a new doctor. The practice is also a member of an Accountable Care Organization: Rio Grande Health Alliance and is rated the most successful in terms of Medicare savings and high qualilty. They are recognized by NCQA and Bridges to Excellence for Diabetes Care.
Mario R. Anzaldua, MD
Dr. Mario R. Anzaldua is a Board Certified Family Physician since 1984 serving the Rio Grande Valley. He received his Bachelors Degree in Human Biology from Stanford University in California and his Medical Doctor Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. Through out his medical years Dr. Anzaldua looked for better ways to assist as many residents as possible in the valley, which is when he decided to become part of the ACO and is now a Medical Director. With patients health always in mind, Dr. Anzaldua also became affiliated with hospitals like Mission Regional, DHR and Rio Grande Regional.
Nadya P. Mendez, FNP-BC
Mrs. Mendez received her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Rio Grande Valley. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical field. Her training in Internal Medicine, Mental Health, Oncology and Home Health was all obtained in the Rio Grande Valley. She has a passion to help her community with their medical needs and strongly believes in providing individualized optimal care in order to provide the best services. Mrs. Mendez is also a kind loving person who attends Palm Valley Church and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
Karina Rodriguez, FNP-BC
Ms. Rodriguez graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. After several years as an Emergency and Operating Room Registered Nurse, she received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Ms. Rodriguez motivates her patients to optimize their well-being for a better health. She works close with each and every of her patients to build a relationship. On her own time, Ms. Rodriguez is a very family oriented person who loves spending time with her loved ones and travel the world. She like all of our providers is a strong believer in gods word.
Rosaura Rios, FNP-BC
Ms. Rios is formerly from Roma Texas where she received her highschool diploma. Graduated from UTRGV with her bachelors degree and right after started working as a registered nurse at a local hospital. She did 2 years in Medical Telemetry and 3 years in ICU. Ms. Rios is an advocate for preventive medicine. Her passion is educating patients and the community about health and helping them reach their health goals. "My main goal is to provide compassionate care to every single patient" in her own words. She loves exercising, cooking, reading, traveling and most of all spending time with her loved ones.
